He has experience managing a wide range of public affairs projects, including a number of cross-jurisdictional public affairs assignments in Ukraine, the South Caucasus and Central Asia. Ivan’s background includes extensive work with think-tanks such as the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting, the German Advisory Group, the Bureau for Economic and Social Technology (System Capital Management), and the International Center for Policy Studies. He previously served as director for economic studies at the Yalta European Strategy (YES), the top meeting place for international business and policy leaders in Ukraine.

A Swedish national, Marcus has extensive experience working with international public policy and financial communications. His client list ranges from Fortune 500 companies to advocacy groups, NGOs and start-ups. His previous roles include working in Brussels for nearly five years with top think-tanks like the German Marshall Fund of the United States and the European Enterprise Institute.
Marcus has been involved in various capacities in this region since 2004, including running an international agency in Ukraine. Following the market turmoil during the 2008-9 meltdown, he launched a private practice in which he collaborated with Ivan Poltavets on a number of regional public policy and communications projects.

Amanda is a well-known Brussels based geopolitical and foreign policy analyst and journalist. Her main interests include the foreign and domestic policy of Turkey and Ukraine, Russian foreign policy, the South Caucasus, Eastern Partnership and European Neighbourhood Policy. In her role at SP&A Amanda is primarily covering Turkish politics and provides strategic advice on a number of business issues in the region.
Besides her role with SP&A Amanda works as a Senior Policy Analyst at the European Policy Centre, a leading Brussels based think-tank, where she is responsible for managing EPC projects related to Turkey, the EUs Eastern Neighborhood and the Eurasia/Caspian region. She is also Associate Senior Research Fellow at the International Centre for Policy Studies in Kyiv, Ukraine and she has a twice weekly column for the Turkish daily “Today’s Zaman” – Turkey’s leading English language newspaper.
Heinz is a seasoned banking professional who for almost 30 years has worked in various capacities with the countries of the former Soviet Union. His deep industry knowledge and general political and business insights comes from his long background of professional business consulting, and having worked in senior executive roles with two of Scandinavia’s largest financial institutions in Russia. His experience includes general business promotion, trade with a special focus on financing, risk assessment and mitigation. Besides his role with SP&A Heinz serves as Chairman of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce to Russia, Ukraine and the Baltic States & CIS and is a frequent speaker and commentator on business issues related to Russia and the wider CIS region.
